"The overall company is a good place to work. It is flexible, has good health benefits and balances life/work well."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Graphic designers - stay away form BD Diagnostics - Preanalytical Systems' graphics group. Look elsewhere within the company. Read between the lines. Don't believe all that was promised to you."

What don't you like about working at Becton, Dickinson & Co.?

"Working within the graphics group at BD Diagnostics - Preanalytical Systems was definitely a place I would not recommend. It consisted of incredibly poor and incompetent management."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire people with people/management skills into managerial positions. Don't base it on seniority. Eliminate the useless; Just because a group leader is a good friend of her reporting-to-manager doesn't mean she should keep her job; Be ware of married couples, one of them a group leader, reporting to the same manager."

"I thought the work environment was a great place to work at on any day."

"I would say that interviewing with this company have been very exciting and interesting and that I say good luck with their interviewing process."

What don't you like about working at Becton, Dickinson & Co.?

"I like the fact that everyone works together in accomplishing the goal of the company. There were a lot of group interactions, everyone had input to a project or and issue and everyone works together for the same goals."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would suggest for management to have great pride in your employees, I say this because I feel an employee does take their jobs/careers serious and as a great and long term business venture and cares about their place of emplyment future."

"Management is awful. Company is very old fashion and has no vision for the future. Awful company. Pay is below average."

"Company is old fashioned, not in touch with the present. Treats first year employees like dirt, with poor training. Will lay off good salespeople who have proven themselves. Not organized. Outsourced systems don't work. Too bureaucratic to get anything done."

"BD/CareFusion makes an excellent product regarding Pyxis dispensing. Their business model allows much of it to be remotely maintained, while break-fix situations are quickly fixed by local technicians."

"BD has excellent products which help people live healthy lives. Their focus on finding why disease occurs and diagnosing it is very good."

"BD likes to hire a sure bet, someone who has done the job elsewhere and been successful at it."

"The decision making is very top down with little to no empowerment. It was not like this and has changed over time."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Their is considerable talk of innovation but management does not encourage an atmosphere and management style which would support this goal."

"Excellent company to work for. Work Life balance is better than average. The insurance benefits are a huge downfall 80-20 or 70-30 with high deductibles and having to carry an HSA just to afford the hospitals and medical services are a major issue. Don't pay enough money for NE area 30% less salary then comparable companies."
