"The complete hierarchy of the people in projects, various design tools, the work process and procedures."

"No, I do not have much to say regarding others interviewing Bechtel because everybody might not be in same situation as me."

What don't you like about working at Bechtel?

"In office we have very less communication with the owner and the different vendors. Therefore this lack of communication causes an inaccurate design and mistakes in our work. This also affects our growth rate in terms of knowledge and carrier."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My suggestion for Bechtel Management (Indian office) is to have an open culture of communication between vendors and the owners."

"Good pay, but you have to know the right people to advance and possibly even keep your job. Supervisors will continue telling you that everything is great and then upper management who doesn't even know you will tell you that you needed to do more. I think it's a great place for new engineers, but more experienced engineers get stifled (unless you suck up to the right people maybe?). Recommending the company CEO is weird because he seems decent enough, but he's the third generation Mr. Bechtel to be CEO. It's good to be king."

"Know a manager. Favoritism is the name of Bechtel National's hiring game. Know a current employee."

"The company's corporate culture is one of favoritism where results are often overlooked and promotions are rewarded to unqualified recipients."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I suggest management behave according to their own covenants and suggest they train to understand their employee's knowledge, skills and abilities and learn ways to leverage their experience. Management needs to understand technology."
