"I spent three years with BB&T, now Truist in one of the bank's expansion markets. I believe the folks who work at BB&T genuinely care about what they do and why they do it. The people and culture are the best things about the bank. The most challenging things have to do with the bureaucracy and certain organizational inefficiencies resulting from the bank's exponential growth over the last 20 years. There is a constant push and pull of trying to hold on to what they were and trying to become what they want to be."
