"I worked as a developer here and must say that they need to upgrade their tools.Additionally, there is no uniformity and structure in the software platforms, so a lot of time is wasted in patching up interfaces. My recommendation is that they should first design an infrastructure and then implement it rather than doing it haphazardly, and we will see it when it comes!"

"Constructive review for the department."

What do you like about working at BNY Mellon?

"I've worked as a Corporate Trust Administrator and have a lot to learn of the enormous systems they have in performing your work. I love working with a lot to know about the job. I like their retirement plan - 401k & pension plan. The Bank give appreciation to workers with excellent performance. BNYMellon is a very good training ground for a newly hailed college graduates."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Tell the truth and nothing but the truth about your qualification, educational background & experience and BNYMellon will hire you."

What don't you like about working at BNY Mellon?

"My job is performed from a-z, meaning you do the work from an administrator to a clerk(filing/archive) standpoint. I was under an Account Representative Manager. Managing about 200 sensitive accounts (having millions and billions asset corporations) plus clerical work is too much to handle. Even I tried to work in my free time (everyday) to be ahead for the next tasks, there still more work to do. When badly needed from staff's help, they don't show enthusiasm to help immediately; instead you wait till staff is ready, The department expect to know all the systems (with more than 4 systems to work with) everything completely within a year. There's a lot of passwords to remember. The Account Representative Manager that I've worked with (at that time) has no in-depth knowledge yet of a corporate trust after working for 3 years and have no college degree. Almost everyday, he's paranoid of me making mistakes and that our dept manager will be mad. This of course makes me nervous all the time."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire 1 admin. assistant for this department to do the mail, filing or archive, and help the Administrator and/or Account Representative Manager when needed. The Dept Overall Manager is a very good and fair manager, but some of the Account Representative Managers should be qualified to do the job and considerate to their respective administrators. Management should hire college graduate applicants for they are more self-confident and more compassion to their colleagues."
