"The firm is great to work for if you come in on the graduate scheme (this will be pay scale G or GP). However, if you come in as a Research Assistant (scale I) or Senior Research Assistant (scale H), you will quickly be hit with endless glass ceilings and non-merit-based barriers to your development. If you think you'll be able to progress your career through hard work and perseverance, you will find yourself to be very much mistaken. Don't make yourself unhappy, you can find better opportunities elsewhere."
"I have worked for BOE for about 4 years."
"I have worked for Bank of England Mortgage for a short amount of time and I do love the environment. The people are respectful of each other, but the process of working on loans is outdated. The process is a bit out of control with the manager wanting everything to be submitted to underwriting before any documentation is even seen. Having the process that hectic makes me doing my job a bit difficult and not efficient."
