Management Consultant

"Extremely Poor. First time in 15 years of work history."

What do you like about working at Baker Tilly?

"The people tend to be younger and energetic with positive attitudes."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Ask a lot of questions about the work and team. Meet as many people working on the team as possible. Find people that have worked their and get their perspective so you know as much as possible before accepting."

What don't you like about working at Baker Tilly?

"Be warned if you are an experienced hire and ask a lot of questions. Even ask to meet other memebers of the team and see the roadmap if possible. For me, the role and opportunity explained during the 6 month recruiting process did not match up with the actual work. Then after you start, there is little to no communication from senior management or partners. I wish I had turned down the offer and stayed with a larger firm because the opportunity was not the current state but the 'wishful' to-be state. Take my advice, if you are an experienced hire and come from a larger company, leadership may fudge the truth so you accept. If you like putting your career at risk then this firm is for you. Be ready to do anything to get you billable to a client with no regards to your background or training. Oh, and forget about any ramp up or training just don't let the client know."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management needs to disclose the current state and not grossly inflate the role and opportunity to get you to accept."
