"I help create Naval Aviators as a civilian. I have launched aircraft off aircraft carriers; it doesn't get any greater than that.I don't like that our present site leader seems to go out of his way to bring down morale. Nor do I like the lack of room for advancement within the company."

What do you like about working at American Airlines?

"I was with family, it was my home for 20 years. What would happen in New York or Europe happened to you, too."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"You have gotta love Texas."

What don't you like about working at American Airlines?

"There were some people there that were not what I would call worldly."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"TWA is dead. I am sorry to say and we have poor management to blame for that. American Airlines has seen to it that all of the old TWA people have been eliminated from the company, but isn't that the way most mergers usually go."

"Good pay for the times, flight benefits."

What don't you like about working at Delta Air Lines?

"Very little vacation, weird shifts, old-fashioned in a bad way. Bear in mind that this was 16 years ago and things may have changed."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Treat communication as two-way transaction, ease up on the grooming standards for mechanics, improve paid time off."
