Unix Infrastructure Engineer
in Redmond, WA

"Very heavily oriented towards process. Very little individual autonomy."

What do you like about working at AT&T?

"Excellent training opportunities. Good compensation. Good time management. Few emergencies requiring overtime or weekend work."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"AT&T is a very heavily engineering-oriented company. An emphasis is put on people with strong technical skills. Potential applicants must be calm, patient, and willing to be dependent on long chains of people to accomplish simple tasks. Type A personalities desiring quick turnaround or results will be very frustrated."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"Too little autonomy. Poor support from upper management. Large number of stakeholders on projects with poor division of responsibilities and ownership."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None really. Management has a clear focus of what their goals are."
