"I would love to go back to AT&T but I fear that, with outsourcing, it would never happen."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"Was part of AT&T Global Services, which was never really part of AT&T proper, therefore when AT&T figured out what we did (AT&T Global Services used to be IBM Global Services) they laid us all off."

"At the time I worked for AT&T, the company offered many opportunities for employees to advance their careers. Until the final phase of my career with AT&T, performance recognition and opportunities for advancement allowed employees to strive for continued improvement."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"As time advanced, recognition for personal and professional achievements was diminished. Workloads increased with continous downsizing and no compensation."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Performance recognition and appreciation for a job well done is critical for employee morale. You must never forget that you are dealing with people."

"My department, Local Services, was eliminated in 2002."

What do you like about working at AT&T?

"As a project manager I was able to work on new technology/mission critical projects and support developing and mentoring team members. Working with clients to support their long term and short terms needs. Which often led to new strategies to delivering and implementing new products and billing solutions."

"Do your research on the company, its objectives."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"As I look back over my career at AT&T, I cannot say anything negative about the company; sure there were some bumps in the road, however overall it was an excellent learning experience for me."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Better sense of market changes and what your customers value as important."
