What do you like about working at AstraZeneca?
"I worked with some of the finest people in the industry and sold an entire portfolio of best in class products in a territory that was the crown jewel of the region."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It is a job with good benefits, but probably not secure in the long term. At one time, it was a great company with a good heart but those times are gone with the expiration of the patents."
What don't you like about working at AstraZeneca?
"The company has lost most of its income due to patent expirations and will have laid off 75% or so of its sales force by 2014 as stated by management. The environment has become one of toxic micromanagement and favoritism as managers protect favorites over talent as the layoffs have been implemented."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Upper management is ruling by fear and micromanagement. There is not much I can say to correct this. The CEO has been sacked along with many managers at all levels. No one feels valued, only hunted."
What do you like about working at AstraZeneca?
"The salary is better than working in biosciences or in academia."

"Find a niche in the department and stick with it. Share nothing, collaborate with nobody. Build a tower, sit in it, and drive your career from it."
What don't you like about working at AstraZeneca?
"When I was employed they offered training to carry out the role. No training has been provided and I am completely unable to carry out my role, which leads to frustration and depression at work. The company policy is RTFM but there is no FM."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would sack every member of IT immediately, without reference, or severance."

"Great benefits, very clean work environment. They take care of the people that work there."

"Astra was bought buy Zenica and is now Astrazenica. I left to avoid being laid off again."

"Long work hours. Clean rooms. Security is everywhere. I was always tired."

"A good place, a good company. Maybe I should not have left."
