What do you like about working at Assurant?

"Assurant cares for their employees and tries to offer the most comfortable work environment possible. At the MiamI campus, which is the largest Assurant office, we had access to a cafeteria with high-quality, inexpensive food; recreational activities including tennis/basketball/soccer/baseball/racketball courts and a gym; a postal service; on-site daycare and public elementary school (only for Assurant employees); and many many more amenities."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Unfortunately, I do not have any tips for interviewing. If someone knows someone else at Assurant, definitely do what they can to get a good word put in for them. That really helps, I would say. Other than that, dress professional, be polite, and always bring a copy of your resume!"

What don't you like about working at Assurant?

"With every good company comes bad eggs. And, unfortunately, I wound up in a department full of selfish, irresponsible, and unethical managers. Most of the department has dissolved since my departure, but there are still bad eggs spoiling other corners of the company."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Without formal management training, I cannot offer credible suggestions to Assurant. However, I do think that Human Resources is well-aware of some of the issues affecting upper management, and those issues should be brought forth and resolved."
