"Ask what your hourly pay will be before taking the job and clarify if it's actual or with projected commissions etc. It's a great company but every property is different and some pay a lot less."
What don't you like about working at Associated Estates?
"The pay, at least at my site, is way below average given the amount of work expected."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"If I were running the show I would make it my business to be up on the current news, ideas, changes in my industry and relay less on people you love to point out your superiority to. You can't be above if you can't even match the education or experience of your underlings."

"tenants, vendors, the people that I work with, the industry itself."

"Exhibit your skills and show how much of an asset you can be for this company."
What don't you like about working at Travis Commercial Real Estate?
"Not enough training courses on accounting procedures. And more educational courses need to be offered."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Having more events for tenants and meeting one on one with them as well."
What do you like about working at Extra Space Storage?
"Helping people solve a problem by accommodating them at our facility."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Your efforts will only yield higher demand and no avenue to vent your concerns without being labeled a complainer. There is little or no respect for the individual in the Extra Space Storage culture. There will be little or no assistance to get the job done right."
What don't you like about working at Extra Space Storage?
"There was never enough hours in a given day to accomplish what was demanded and overtime was NOT in the cards, generally. The staffing was always minimal so there were always many days of working alone and everything that would normally be accomplished by two needed to be done by one. There were far too many varying responsibilities from selling rental space to cleaning toilets. You have to do it all in the facility and it has to be done to perfection or you're made to feel as though you're slacking. They want EVERYTHING done but don't want to pay for the right number of people to do it."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Ensure that the staffing levels were appropriate for the facilities so there wasn't such intense effort required daily by people having to work solo. There would be an immediate change in the manner in which the executives and managers in the company spoke with the employees. It is currently VERY condescending. There would be less talk about return on investment to the stockholders and more attention to just running the facilities properly."
What do you like about working at Housing Visions?
"I like the real estate part of the position and the ability to show the apartments."

"they should check the credential and education background as well as experience of the employees that the company hires."
What don't you like about working at Housing Visions?
"It was not run propertly;. The property manager sat around all day long and took a lot of cigarett breaks leaving me to do all of the work."

"I would hire competant staff with and educational background in property managament"

"I enjoyed supervising the leasing department, meeting new people, and meeting goals."

"The job can be stressful due to lack of systematic approaches to work load."

"The managment were unprofessional, lacked education, and problem solving skills needed to run company efficiently."

"I would recommend hiring individuals with education coupled with experience providing a more diverse culture."

"Its a small company and it's like a family working together."

"It's a great company that is growing and it cares about it's employees."

"The communication isn't very good between the departments and from upper management."

"Visit your off site employees and get to know them more and keep them updated."

"The relationship with my Manager. The flow of work and responsibilities was perfect between us."

"Be yourself in the interview. Also be prepared. Do your research on the company and the property."
What don't you like about working at Southern Management Corp.?
"The commute. On average my commute was 1hr each way. Weather conditions will typically add 30 min. each way."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Keep doing what you are doing. It works so why make changes."
