What do you like about working at Amscan?

"Bait and Switch:Temp-to-perm is the way they roll and they roll people out the door after not paying the recruiters who pay the temp-to-perms ASAP. So the recruiters who have worked for Amscan in the past call them Am-Scam because they notoriously never pay the recruiters nor hire the people the recruiters find while promising full-time jobs if they work hard enough.Did I mention the child labor law violations in third world companies Or using endangered species to make their party goods"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Run! Run fast! Temp-to-Perm is a sign of getting you to work 24/7 and then dropping you. Oh, and did I mention they are notorious for not paying the recruiters of temp-to-perms on time or at all That makes recruiting agencies angry and then the employee no longer has a job because the two companies are fighting.Isn't that professionalRun! Run away as fast as you can!"

What don't you like about working at Amscan?

"Amscan is fantastic at throwing parties -- and facades. Between every employee's birthday, every holiday in most countries, there was always a a party. Why To test out their party products to make the mostly temps feel as if they had a permanent future there Who knows. But if you did not attend a party -- such as Leap Year you were ostracized and when you DID attend then you were marked as not working hard enough, so the pressure was to stay late or work on weekends. Personally, a cheap party every day that cuts into my personal life is not worth it."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Change the reputation from Am-Scam to their logo The party People.Deception works for big business.............but only for a while. The USA is not taking it any more and most certainly when American businesses expliot third worl countries with no labor -- or child labor laws."
