ArcelorMittal Employee

"ArcelorMittal as a whole is a great company; however, my current supervisor stresses out too easily, causes those who work for that person to be in fear of their jobs, and most in my department are afraid to ask questions. This supervisor has either fired or moved all but one person in that department since taking their position in June. The supervisor lacks the ability to lead and mentor their staff for successful and productive closes."

Senior Engineer

"I worked for ArcelorMittal for 12 years and enjoyed the changes and improvements that occurred over the years. I started with them in 2008 during the housing crisis and they were concerned about their employees and moved my planning group to Indiana Harbor for further training in order that when the crisis was over we would be able to return to Cleveland and begin working seamlessly immediately. I found that they provided that through the time that I was with them and I appreciated their care and understanding of their employees."

"I’ve worked for ArcelorMittal for 10 years! It’s 4,500 direct employees and more than 4,500 sub-contractors. It’s for sure a very good company to learn and grow!"

"I worked for ArcelorMittal for an internship in 2017. From there, I learned the interpersonal skills between managers and technicians. The work-life balance can be a little hard at times and chances for new projects come by less but it is a place where you can get solid foundational skills in engineering."

ArcelorMittal Employee

"ArcelorMittal has been a reasonable good employer, though the implementation of the GEDP (performance plan) is inconsistent and not fairly utilized. In my most recent position I have not received a yearly review in over 4 years. The benefits with the company have deteriorated over the years and I would rate the health insurance at below average."

ArcelorMittal Employee

"I have worked for the company since early 2019 and I have been able to meet and work with employees with 20+ years of experience in the industry. I have learned not only the engineering skills that are relevant for the job, but I have also learned communication and teamwork skills that are necessary when working with people from corporate and union environments. The skills I learned are not only limited to the employees of my current companies but contractors that work with our company."
