1.5I am still, to this day, suffering from the emotional distress that the staff at Appleseeds caused me. It sounds quite dramatic, but it's the truth. I, as well as other members of staff, was emotionally abused and humiliated daily, whether it was behind my back or to my face. The director has completely influenced members of her staff to follow her lead, so it becomes overbearing to a lot who work there. So many staff members have quit due to the foul treatment from the director, whether it was emotional abuse or lack of professionalism. Those with any amount of experience in this field will run from this place; if you're new to the field, I would suggest starting out elsewhere. Yes, the staff being treated horribly is one thing, but the way the director treats the kids and families is something to be more concerned about. These beautiful children and their families are constantly picked apart and gossiped about by staff; they are laughed at and made fun of behind their backs by the director and some of staff. It's absolutely heart breaking. I see some reviews advise to "not believe the harsh things competitors are saying," but I would suggest to do your research on this place and what ABA therapy is really about. This place changed my life for the worst, and I will never be the same after the harsh things I've experienced and the horrible people I've encountered there.
1 Office Manager from Appleseeds Learning Center submitted reviews
4.8I've worked at Appleseeds Learning Center since 2013. I started out as an ABA therapist working 1:1 with children with autism, and I am now the office manager dealing with the day to day workings of the center. I have loved seeing Appleseeds grow and become the best center in not only Kennesaw, but in Georgia. We strive to grow and continue to build on current programs and also create new services for our students. Appleseeds is also committed to growing its staff as well. We provide trainings so that our staff is certified to provide the best services to our clients.
1.5At first, I really loved this place. But once I was there for only a few weeks, I started to see how truly evil the director was. She promises things to staff and manipulates them into thinking she's doing the things she does for the good of the company and the kids. In reality, pay is extremely low, no benefits, no moving up in staff position. This director also lied about being a BCBA and having the proper qualifications to not only run a company, but train inexperienced workers on how to handle children. She has her favorites, and if you are not one of them, you are in for a nightmare. I would not suggest working here.
