What suggestions do you have for management?

"Positive reinforcement. Train employees efficiently and don't micro-manage. Allow reps to manage their territories according their expertise, only they could truly know management/associates & their stores."

"I loved my job!!!"

What do you like about working at Anderson Merchandisers?

"Overall the President, VP's and Director of Sales are amazing people. In the current situation there are many challenges but it all happened by hiring a few bad eggs. In time this company will come back and be better than ever before. For those who aren't happy there, try to analyze why and then see what YOU can do to make a difference. In most cases it's not complaining but rather pointing out what can be fixed and then offer a few suggestions on how to fix them. This is the way to have people listen to you and help you make a difference in a company that tries very hard to be the best they can be while making it a pleasant work environment. Always remember that 98% of people quit there boss and no there company. So, really try to dig down and find out why your not happy and then try to make a difference! Start small... store level, then share your ideas at district level to help others buy into your ideas and then things will slowly start to look up for you and others around you. It all has to start with you and then start sharing your great ideas and achievements with others.... This is how a company thrives and this is why I was as successful with Anderson Merchandisers as I was. One day at a time. One task at a time. One person at a time."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be open minded to continuous changes, retail has to keep up with the times or it will fall behind. Upper management is an amazing group and remember if someone's not happy at Anderson... are they really trying to make a difference"

What don't you like about working at Anderson Merchandisers?

"I loved my job more than anyone should ever love a job... I didn't make my family a priority. To be 100% successful you have to be dedicated to making things happen and I always fell short on the family end. I couldn't find the work/life balance."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Remember the little people that are working hard everyday to make a difference! Show them how proud you are of them and never stop listening to the people on the front lines. The past successes have come from ideas and suggestions from the field and not the people sitting behind the desks in Amarillo."
