"I've worked at Anderson Merchandisers for 20 years. They are a company which you can grow and learn the retail and merchandising industry. You must be willing to work hard and with little to no supervision daily. The rewards are good pay and benefits."

"The work isn't too hard but when you try to talk to the bosses about making the job easier they just brush it to the side. When I was trying to change my schedule with them, they refused to answer. I was trying to give them ideas of what would make the job easier as far as the application we used goes, they completely ignored me. They could improve a lot of items in the company if they would just listen to their employees."

"I worked for this company for 3 years. The first four months were great. After that, the company stopped caring about their employees, and things only got worse. Then, I got screwed by another employee and fired over it. What a way to treat the people making you money."

"The job itself was not bad at all. The other employees were great. Other management personnel were great to work with. The TSL did not know how to train and was difficult to work with. Not personable even a little bit. Almost all of what I learned was from other employees and management. I talked with DM, but it never went anywhere. I do think the job would have been a lot of fun under different circumstances."

"Simply the worst company I have ever worked for in 30 years."

"Don't. It will be the worst experience of your life to work for this company."

What don't you like about working at Anderson Merchandisers?

"This is the worst company I have ever worked for in 30 years. Inept, bordering on psychotic management. Full timers given all the work of management, then their hours cut. Told repeatedly to lie on information given to company to make it look like all work was done in the ridiculously few hours given each week. to complete work. Complete disregard for the client. The list is massive. If you see an opening for this company, run, don't walk. You will be very sorry you took the job. Unless you like being told to wake up at 5 a.m, every day to check if you still have a job, or having weeks of no hours of work after being promised a steady amount of hours and days to work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Do your job!! If an employee calls you for help or advice, respond - don't ignore them. Don't threaten them ( yes this really happened more than once, threatened with dismissal for asking a question about my job - see psychotic)."

What do you like about working at Anderson Merchandisers?

"Decent pay, good environment (in the store), nothing else than that."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't bother wasting your time, they're already doing layoffs after hiring over 2000 employees to take on their new customer."

What don't you like about working at Anderson Merchandisers?

"Offered me great things and hours and pay so I gave up 2 1/2 years at a job I bled and loved, and are now laying me off only 5 months later. Also, the favortism is rediculous. I have an associate who got full-time, even though she's the most inefficiant worker (even others have noticed this), and who was clocking out for her lunches and still working off the clock (illegal!) and has broke the company lunch before the 5th hr rule numerous times! We were told 6 strikes and you're fired. She's at like 15... I'd of been gone long ago."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Realize who your true hard workers are and stop favoritising the ones you just think are busting their butts for you guys. Also, don't lie to your employees. We know you do it."
