What don't you like about working at Amgen?

"VERY political and competitive among support staff. No real growth opportunities for support staff. Constantly feel that you have to fight to keep your job. Demands put on support staff in some depts. are wayyyy too much for what the compensation is, yet in other depts. they have a very easy job and make more money, Not fair or equitable at all."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Company needs to slow down on the demands they make of people, makes it very stressful and people are getting lost in the shuffle."

"They have moved away from what made them great."

"Very talented pool of people working there. Always had the opportunity to make your opinion known."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Unless you are being highly recruited by other companies and can therefore afford to pass on their offer, there is little opportunity to negotiate anything."

What don't you like about working at Amgen?

"Highly political."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Try to become innovative again. Doing the same thing as other companies will never allow Amgen to return to greatness."
