What do you like about working at America Family Insurance?

"The customers and how well I got to know them and how greatful they are when you are there for them when they and their family have suffered a devistating loss. I also enjoyed teaching my boss how to do things on the computer that he never cared to know and learn. It was nice to teach someone who taught me everything I know about insurance and brought me under his wing at such a young age."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be yourself and you have to enjoy customer service and insurance and you will do great."

What don't you like about working at America Family Insurance?

"Relying on someone else in another state to complete a change, new policy, or billing correction. I would have to answer to the upset customers and I was helpless, just waiting for another employee in corporate to process an emailed request for a mistake that the company made, not the customer. That is hard for me when I am completely helpless in resolving an issue for a customer."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To allow for more changes to be made locally at the agency with corporate doing more of a checks and balances type of support rather than the acting primary authority."

"I was self employed and I was able to be a self starter. My success was based on how much effort I put in to it."

"I had to start with my business with no costumers and build it up from there."

"I suggest that the employee who they choose should have good attitude and good moral ethics."
