"I can honestly say in all my years of distribution, this was the WORST working environment that I’ve ever been in. Being surrounded by individuals who have no work ethic and using the union to keep them from being held accountable. My co-workers want to receive a check and do the bare minimum (if that) to get it. Theft of product, sleeping on the clock, damaging of product/structures and obvious under the influence were either not addressed by management or given a reprieve from the union. Management was no better. The only interaction was when corporate visited and the fake smiles/phony conversations took place. Regional management had a John Wayne bravado and tried to use intimidation tactics when dealing with the supervisors, quite often making in appropriate comments. Corporate HR was hesitant on supporting local management and caved in to the union demands. In defense of the supervisors, they had a lot on their plate and wasted too much time babysitting a thieving labor force. Avoid this company at all cost unless your plan is short term (1-2 yr term)."

"Have to work in a cold freezer for long hours. Management and Labor group doesn't go together so have to work on negotiation. Also, there might be some politics that you might have to deal with."

"This is for the Brisbane site Australia. Was a good company to work for until it got brought out by Americold. Higher management put too much pressure on kpi's, resulting in unsafe work practices. Middle management has no clue what's going on when it comes to health and safety, they work by the motto just get the job done. No career progression unless you're family or an ass licker, very biased. Any outspoken people will be bullied until breaking point. Extremely high pick rates and under paid, day shift works a six day roster six hours per day so if you have a family you're not gonna have any time for them. Casuals take a sick day, don't bother coming back, extremely high turnover of workers 200-500 per year. Union is nothing but lies and bull from union and management (HR), only up side is good bunch of guys to work with on the floor, everything else just a joke"

"This is for the Brisbane site in Australia. Pay rate is ok but that's about it. Management has no idea what they're doing. I work night shift. Managers have no skills and were given the position just cause they turn up everyday. There's no job progression and if you are an outspoken person, manager will bully you until you leave. If you have family it's not the job for you. They will work you 6 days a week every week until you break."
