"I spent a good deal of above and beyond effort with a genuine desire to see the company improve and do well. Unfortunately the company is heavily fragmented in its focus, so it does not do anything well, for fear of missing out on a plethora of potential opportunities. So extra effort is rewarded with constantly having to switch focus, re created road-maps, drop and pick up new projects at the whim of leaderships latest meeting or website visit."

What do you like about working at AmericanTours?

"The travel industry is truly interesting and appealing. There is a lot that could be accomplished and the company was well set to take its pick of the opportunities and really excel. There is also a lot of talent in the organization to help make this happen."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The interview process is more about who you are as a person and how they feel you could do. So be personable, warm and barely competent."

What don't you like about working at AmericanTours?

"Ruthless about layoffs. Disorganized, they never make a plan and definitely don't keep it. Incredibly disorganized and they take on WAY to many projects at one time, resulting in everything getting a mediocre job done at best."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They need a real CEO to run their organization who can bring discipline, organization and leadership. If that was done the company would excel to new levels not previously seen."
