"The Alltech plant that I worked at was a new plant that began production in January of 2013. The plant had some design flaws which led to some problems making a quality product. Those flaws were being addressed when one large corporate oversight caused the plant to shut down. Waste water treatment was found to be necessary a few months after beginning production. The corporate decision not to treat the water was made, shutting down the plant."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be honest."
What don't you like about working at Alltech?
"Contractors were underpaid. They constantly complained about this, and rather than do the task involved, they threatened to quit."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The compensation due to your contractors should reflect the amount of work they do. It was deficient with this company. There should be an open line of communication with the owners that does not discourage contractors from stating their views fairly. The ultimate result was that contractors did not show up or feel like a willing part of the group."
