"Alcon Laboratories does not take care of its information department. Lack of direction and overworked employees abound."

"Alcon is an excellent eye-care company, but not the best place to work as a young IT professional. The IT department is run EXTREMELY lean and lacks proper upper management direction. There are too few people performing too many jobs and IT employees are often working nights and weekends with no additional overtime or bonus compensation. Many employees are overworked and the company does not encourage any type or work/life balance. I would not recommend the company to any other IT professional."

"This company encourages its workers to use their imagination and intelligence to think of new and interesting designs/ways to make the company and product better. Very organized in the supervision/management provided throughout the company."

"Unfortunately there were no permanent job possibilities during my internship."

"I have no suggestions for management, they did a wonderful and amazing job guiding and supervising my performance."

"the work was great, so I do not have any suggestions."

"I like to understand the message each year about the priorities and objectives for the company from top management. I like then to think how to cascade throught my team and to highlight the main targets to my level that will help from a global point of view."

"It is very difficult to move or to try to do different work (cross functional tasks) if you complete correctly yours, which is my case. I am trying to move to united states since 3 years and there is no option by the moment."

"I think they could have feedback from all funtional areas any level of workers to see who and how the people see their performance and job progression. They do a little about this."

"The only downfall working at Alcon is, if your not relocatable there is not much opportunity to grow."

"The only suggestion I have is to create more opportunites for employess that cant relocate."
