"It's a nice place to work for but be warned that it has its faults. But then again, all jobs do."

"The fact that maintenance is run by the front office that knows nothing about maintenance."

"You should have the maintenance team be run by a regional service manager, or by someone on the construction side."

What don't you like about working at AIMCO?

"AIMCO is a sweat shop and cares absolutely nothing for their employees. From the top down they actively encourage dog eat dog behavior and create a constant fear that your job is on the line. I worked nights, holidays and weekends, that's the norm."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Recognize that the reason you've lost 80% of the company's value is that you treat your employees like cannon fodder and don't share the wealth when it comes time for compensation."

"Very clean shop, there is a lot of room, all the work stations are more well equipped than any other place I have worked, each one had its own check plate with a height gage, indicator and scopes."

"Be honest. If you claim to have a skill that you do not it will come to light very quickly."

What don't you like about working at AIMCO?

"Communication between 1st and 2nd shift was not very good at all - plus the cutting oil they use is many years old and is full of very tiny chips that leave marks on locating surfaces."

"Management is untrained, this shop could go a lot farther, a lot easier with just a little attention to this issue."

"The company offers a great deal of training to promote growth. Family-like feeling with residents and co-workers."

"AIMCO has been a great place to work for the last eight years and I do not discourage any newcomers to the company as they will adjust to new policies and will not be losing any compensation or benefits."

What don't you like about working at AIMCO?

"Poor compensation packages and pay scale not consistent. No support from upper management down to the site level."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Review compensation packages in a realistic 2009 life scenario as opposed to a model set forth in the early 90's. Teach corporate level employees how to treat site level employees with respect and support the people who are on site dealing with resident issues on a daily basis."
