"The team atmosphere that carried over into almost a family type atmosphere."

"The company is an excellent training ground. They provide extensive training and will enhance your skills. Turn-over is very high because employees are high demand because of the background and are easily persuaded to leave because compensation is below industry norm."

What don't you like about working at AIG?

"After the death of the CEO, management that was put in place caused harm to the corporate culture that had made the company successful. The changes that occurred are reflective in the massive decrease in valuation of the company."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Because of the massive turn-over in management, we all contend and agree, the current CEO needs to be replaced."

"The name recognition and products were excellent. These two items were key in my 'closing ratio' which was in the 70% region and 90% of my cases were closed in the initial presentation with clients."

"As for anyone coming into to the Insurance it is incumbent upon the agent to learn the product(s) and take the initiative to develop a book of business."

"What is found difficult about working with AIG was the compensation schedule, it was very complicated and contained too many qualifiers."

"As a 'captured agent' you realized that for a large organization that AIG management was active and did respond to the agents in a positive manner. As for suggestions, the under writing process needed to be more timely."
