What do you like about working at ADT Security?

"I enjoy working with my coworkers as part of a team to complete the tasks at hand. I also enjoy the opportunity to show off my workmanship on my jobs to the best of my ability. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge base with technicians that have less experience within the trade. I also enjoy being able to satisfy the customer/client at the end of the day, so to speak, without excuses."

What don't you like about working at ADT Security?

"I feel that the core values and customer service aspect of the company is lacking. I also do not like the ability to directly reach someone when needed via the phone, as well as being able to deal with the same people in a consistent basis. I feel that within the departments within the company there always seems to be a lack of teamwork and it always tends to feel as an us vs. them, rather than one company team, sales vs. install, service vs. sales and install, etc. I also dislike the errors and omissions that seem prevelant within the scope of the installations or items that have not been considered or addressed prior to installation. I would also love to see more training within the product lines, with hands on experience, as well as meetings with some vendors, prior to installation, so we, as a team, do not look unprofessional while installing a new system or working on an old existing system."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would love to have more local management rather than regional titles only. Being able to control, as much as possible, the whole chain of installation and service, in house locally rather than via a national office would also help. Accountability, as well as taking ownership for a client/customer, as well as a strong follow up procedures would also help, and improve the image of the company to the client."
