"This is one of the greatest companies to work for in Silicon Valley. It is very innovative and promising. They offer good compensation, benefit, environments, flex time, free snack, drink, and more. The only drawback is that annual lay-off in November. It really affects most employees' productivity and motivation. Other than that, I highly recommend to work for this company. It is hard to balance life and work, but not in this company."

"I've worked for Adobe for almost 10 years. It is a great place with plenty of benefits. The atmosphere is highly collaborative and energizing. People have always been friendly and helpful; very professional. It is very much like a family and you know this is true when a project comes to a close and everyone has to move on and you are a little sad to be parting ways. But of course, you can see them at the coffee bar or in the cafe."

"Adobe is going through major changes; They tend to burn through people; they have have regular restructuring layoffs every year around Nov/Dec. While Adobe has a great name, middle management and career development is less inspiring than the creative tools they produce. In some areas, Adobe is out-innovated by smaller leaner companies. When Adobe can't compete, they just buy the company. If one were working in the Omniture or Acrobat Business units, I think one would be secure."

"Great products and good benefits but weak management, lots of churn and it is a very political atmosphere. It seems that the good managers have left or being forced out due to politics."

"Be yourself and discuss how you would innovate the position!"

What don't you like about working at Adobe?

"When Adobe acquires a company or technology, the managers from the incoming company get promotions and the existing managers at Adobe get either demoted or laid off. It is like the company we purchased really purchased us!!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The first thing is to use the talent they already have in house, every first week in December they have layoffs (they are the definition of an ADD company) so instead of redeploying the existing employees to roles in the new organization, they lay off and folks have to fend for themselves. Second would be to quit sending jobs to India! The CEO's brother-in-law runs the India operations, not too hard to figure out what is going on."
