"Engineers are well respected and have opportunities for advancement and movement within the organization. Many professional graded positions in the organizations that have good starting salaries."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be very wary of the Great Plains Region from the Regional Director and his direct reports and specifically the Human Resources office."
What don't you like about working at Bureau of Reclamation?
"Dysfunctional management of staff and internal processes. Supports autocratic management style even though the majority of staff are at a professional level. Claims to offer flexible schedules, but this is not the case if management is not pro-alternate work schedules."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Until upper management recognizes the value of their employees and allows them to perform the duties they were hired to do, the Bureau will remain fundamentally handicapped and unable to provide a productive service to the public."

"As all government agencies there are many aspects to consider there are some good people and some politicians that keep their seets warm, others that have blinds and would not see clearly what is needed."
What do you like about working at CMS.gov?
"As Administrative person I enjoyed working with the group at the TFBMH because I worked with the cream of the NIH campus as well as of the Office of the secretary, this mean that everyone was in the same page and working specifically with the diligence spected and had the opportunity to excel in all I did without the doubt of stepping on someone toes."
What don't you like about working at CMS.gov?
"Too much politics. everyone is worried about them self and when you have the project at hand the first thing is to create a report why it will not be feasible to do within the set budget and in such schedule instead of planning the work and strive to accomplish what is assigned. If you have friends there, you are safe and get promotions, and salary increases."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Review evaluation processes. Dont be intimidated because you can be irregular in writing a report based on facts not in conveniences. Be fair."

"At the time I worked there, the management was a problem. HR was not honest."

What do you like about working at Verizon Wireless?
"For the past 29 years I have had the Environmental Protection Agency as my personal account (the EPA has asked for me by name), being afforded the opportunity to sell and market Verizon with the help of the account management."

"Always looking at the bottom line is not good for employee morale. But this is how business is, not personal."
