"I have been facilitating with UOP for since 2007 and enjoy it."

"Management gives us the ability to teach our students as long as we follow some general guidelines, which I enjoy."

"I absolutely liked nothing about working for this company."

"Unless you think you have tenure, or a management position, don't even bother."
What don't you like about working at Academy of Art University?
"The money was ridiculously low for an organization that's held is such high esteem. I could not even pay my rent."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Pay people with Master's degrees a livable wage! My response when I complained was well, some people just like to teach. Uh, yeah, well some people like to EAT too..."

"I worked from home, which is better than living in Flint, MI."

"I wouldn't, unless you want to move to Flint, MI, and get a year of experience before moving to a real school."

"no support, out of touch management. Mean supervisor, little money for the work."

"listen to your employees. Don't use intimidation as a management technique"

"individual freedom, the students, the facilities, great pay, short hours"

"negotiate salary and benefits up front and ask alot of questions"

"little help or support from boss, management not caring about contractors' needs"

"be more proactive, respectful of other workers, supportive of efforts"

"I really enjoyed creating a syllabus and course work for these upper level undergraduate students. I had maximum intellectual and creative independence."

"I would make sure that you really enjoy teaching and have additional experience and background in your subject matter field."

"The University was located nearly 1.5 hours from my home and it made commuting once a week very difficult."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"There are many adjunct professors in the university and even within departments and there was no program or intention to have them get together and share experiences to learn from and improve the student experience through dialogue."
What do you like about working at Miami Dade College?
"Working with students and being able to share your own work experience to make them a better life is great."

"Be prepared. Not easy to get in. Not like a normal job interview."

"You can't miss a day. Your students are there you have to be there."

"Teaching. Education to students. More student participation. Giving knowledge to students."

"Dress smarlty. Tell about your past experience in industry and teaching ."

"Temporary Position. No compensation for hard work. I like to work in industry"

"Compensation must be given with hard work. Students evaluation must be taken to give promotion"

"I like interacting with the students and forming their professional ethics."

"The department's dean and assistant deans are looking for faculty who can teach second career students, and first time students. Be very honest about your teaching experience."

"The laboratory equipment was very dated, hence it was difficult to design interesting labs."

"The college president should reinstate the physics and per-engineering programs."

"I have a passion for education and sharing information. I truly enjoyed the relationships built with students and faculty, along with developing content and curriculum for the learner group."

"Simply remain focused on your area of expertise, if you're sure of yourself and know that you're able to positively influence the career path/goals of a your academic, you're half way there!"

"To some extent, it was difficult to realize the growth potential at this institituion."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"If I could suggest something to managment, it would be to consider offering more opportunites for Adjunct Faculty to progress into full or tenure faculty positions. It's unfortunate, but not every department had this capability."

"investigating sites for estimates and dealing with all kinds of subs"

"They have left Florida and I don't know if they plan to return"

"some personnel were too hip and did not put enough reality into their job"

"stay in Michigan where it is cold and snowy and cloudy"

"This is a part-time job and I still work for them"
