"They need to hire more tenure track positions and not count on adjuncts to educate the masses"

"If you can get a job here it is a great place to work."
What don't you like about working at University of Nevada-Las Vegas?
"Due to budgetary constraints, I no longer work full-time. I am also more limited in advancement."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"None. I don't have anything to add for them. Due to State law, I have academic freedom to teach the way I want. They let me ."

"freedom to teach, great supports in place and open to new ideas"

"be good at your craft and present yourself well; create a positive rapport as your manager is likely to be a hiring decision maker for other roles in the department"
What don't you like about working at Temple University?
"it was a p/t role and I would like full time work"

"give adjuncts benefits and more of a role in developing curriculum; provide full time options and/or to teach more classes"

"The overall culture/ atmosphere, and my ability and position to teach others."

"Be neat, well dressed, and be the best in your field."
What don't you like about working at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College?
"Not being able to be a full time employee in the foreseeable future."

"I really don't have any suggestions for management. If anything I would like to say Thank You and Keep up the great work."
What do you like about working at Mercer County Community College?
"I didn't have to answer to anybody. I was sort of my own boss. I developed my curriculum and lessons, went into class, taught, and got out of there when I was done."

"If you are in it for a part-time gig, it's great."

"It is not too challenging. I want a job that harnesses my skills a little better so I can better help people"

"Be more involved in the day to day stuff. Try to make the programs themselves better and integrate the adjunct faculty a little more into the decision making."

"A community college. The students are great. the department is good."

"The students were wonderful and eager, the department employees are fantastic support."

"Know someone in the school before you apply, and be ready to play the game."
What don't you like about working at San Jacinto College?
"The administration is more interested in the bottom line than the students, and is too short sighted in development"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Remember that the students are the end-product and the most important thing. Fields are developing fast, and developing students for those growing fields before there is a massive call for them will benefit the community in the end."
What do you like about working at UC Hastings College of the Law?
"Ability to work with students, particularly at risk and struggling students, can be deeply rewarding. Academia provides an intellectually challenging and stimulating environment, and staff and students are quite friendly."

"High education is always great, but UC Hastings lacks the spirit and community of other schools"
What don't you like about working at UC Hastings College of the Law?
"Departments fail to work together (and at times work actively against each other). The office politics gets in the way of students, productivity and efficiency."

"Increase collaboration across departments, improve transparency, and bring in some new blood"

"It is a job. I needed a job. Therefore, it is a good job."

"It's not what I want to do with my life. I'm not meant to be a teacher. It makes me feel like I wasted my degree."

"I would give less focus to the athletic departments and focus more on progressive career paths."

"Yes carry a good portfolio. Ask questions about the place. Maintain a positive outlook"

"Sometimes students were not up to the mark and there were discipline problems"

"Keep up the good work. I think they need to improve the downtown Rchmond campus"

"There is really nothing that I dislike about working for ITT Technical Institute."

"My suggestions and feedback to management are delivered in the appropriate channels at work."

"Freedom to design and teach classes the way I wanted to without repercussions."

"Sell yourself well. The amount of freedom given to a worker is a direct result of how much they believe you know the material you are teaching."
What don't you like about working at West Virginia University?
"The compensation for a part time worker was low, but that is to be expected for a state worker."

"Having incentives for workers will create more loyalty. There seems to be a high turnover rate for part time employees."

"I was working part time as an Instructor, and I loved every minute of it."

"Be honest, let the interviewer know about the areas you can improve in, because they will help."

"There wasn't a single this I disliked about the orgainization"

"To continue working on the course improvements. Keep motivating the students to succeed"

"This was temporary employment while seeking my mathematics degree"
What do you like about working at Brown Mackie College?
"It was convenient while completing my mathematics degree. I started a math lab, which helped student struggling in math and science greatly!"

"Be yourself and be honest! If you have the education and desire you will achieve the goal!"

"This was very boring to me. I'm not a professor. I enjoy the marketing research, strategy, implementation that I do."

"None, I'm sure it was great for people who love to teach mathematics. If I were to teach it would be sales or marketing strategies."
