"Don't look for real team cooperation. The departments do not work well together. If the ideas aren't theirs then it will be rejected. Very closed-minded, though they think that they are ahead of the curve, having come from a school in Mississippi, they are 10 years behind the times."
What don't you like about working at Tompkins Cortland Community College?
"The administration was not open to new ideas or willing to expand into new areas. Most dept. were not open to cross-disciplinary courses. In general they did not want to be in the forefront of education and considered cutting edge teaching as disruptive."

"Open their eyes to real world problems. Live up to agreements and commitments that were made."

"I was a part-time employee with no benefit however I enjoyed the structure and it balanced my work and personal life."
What do you like about working at MedVance Institute?
"The student morale and the initiative to learn. The staff was proficient about providing for the needs of the students. I had flexibility of office hours to counsel students when needed."

"A interested candidate should be sure that they have the adequate number of credit hours in a curriculum that they want to teach and to be open minded because of the diverse student culture."
What don't you like about working at MedVance Institute?
"The Educational Director made changes without Faculty input which imposed on student morale. Some changes were not suitable for th institution which could have been prevented by involving the staff and weighing options."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"To keep the Faculty involved in curriculum changes to be sure that not only that they are meeting guidelines of accredidation but to be sure that it is measurable in the classroom."

What don't you like about working at South Seattle Community College?
"The expectation, of management, of the students was that anybody should be able to walk in off the street and pass any course, in spite of any lacking background for the course material."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"These are supposed to be COLLEGE students. TREAT them as such. Require that they have the backgrounds to be able to take the courses, and pass them, without having to be spoon fed the answers. They should be LEARNING, not memorizing."

"Most of the students REALLY wanted to learn."

What don't you like about working at ITT Tech?
"The instructional material was dated, and in many cases incorrect. To make things worse, I was NOT allowed to FIX any of the shorcommings of the material."

"If you are going to be a college, be a college. Teach current, relevant, material."

"Like I said in the one liner, the only thing this college existed for, was to take money from the students. It would accept anybody who could pay, and would do anything to keep them paying."

"Either teach the students, or go out of business (which they did)."

"The LOW expectation of management for the students."

"It is supposed to be a junior college. Yes, junior, but still COLLEGE. The students need to be expected to perform at Freshman and Sophmore College levels."
