"Find a path and stick to it. Learn how to manage lay offs. Culture should be fostered not forced. Benefits are good, but people want opportunity and a chance to develop as well."

"The management, lack of direction, tendency to pick favorites. Vision is too short term, lack of vision and communication from top lead to years of bad decisions resulting in people leaving."

"Should have tried to cut costs in other ways."

"Great Work Environment... But You Won't Last Long."

What do you like about working at Adconion Media Group?

"Very nice, friendly, young staff. The coworkers are all awesome. The bosses are really nice too when they're on your side."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Make sure you read your contract and understand it 100%. They tried to just cut me, when my contract said I was entitled to a month's notice before termination. When I pointed it out in my papers (they sincerely didn't remember), they were very cooperative though giving me 1 month's exit compensation."

What don't you like about working at Adconion Media Group?

"They hire people without a clear idea of what the employees are going to do. Then they fire them after 1-4 months when there isn't enough work to go around. They start you out on a 1099 contract to make getting rid of you. Also, the business model is very shady. They do Pay Per Address email marketing, which is legal spamming. They trick people to giving their email address, and then sell the email to other companies to spam with tons of product ads. No one in their right mind would sign up for a Frontline Direct list, if they knew what junk they'd get in their inbox."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make sure you actually have enough work for someone you hire before taking them off the job market from other better opportunities."

"The challenge to build a business from a base of complete zero across the Midwest, with little or no supervision as I worked from satellite office"

"Do your reasearch on Adconion's top competitors first - ask them to define their core differentiators"

"build their own unique internal technology and processes instead of outsourcing to firms that sell to our competitors in the field"

"As the company getting bigger, the mentality shifted from get the work done to avoid mistake. People become more defensive. It becomes less and less scrum. In other words, less fun to work."
