"Personally, I was too remote as I was located in MO while headquarters was in MN and regional headquarters was in TX. I believe I could have been more useful if I had been located closed to home office."

"Type of business that I was in. I got to try different areas of the business from customer service to quality to management."

"Not much opportunity for growth due to the economy."

"ADC had 23,000 employees worldwide when it acquired my firm (CommTech); a few years later it was down to 4,000; I understand it has now built back up to maybe 7,000. ADC is the poster child for the seismic shock waves that have rocked the telecom/IT markets since the early 2000s, second only to Nortel."

"ADC focused on employees and their development. ADC provided, for those who looked for it, the opportunity to learn and develop themselves. ADC company values known as the ADC way."

"Honesty and Integrity. Indicate who you are and what you have accomplished and be able to back it up."

What don't you like about working at ADC Telecommunications?

"Being laid off in December 2008. Also, the new management concepts of cheapening the ADC product line for profit was a mistake."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Six months prior to being laid off, management in ADC started to rotate with the established management leaving. I felt that the newer management did not have a true understanding of what ADC's history was and what made ADC a market leader. My suggestion is for them to have a week long study of what made ADC such a great company and try to infuse that with what their new management and global market place allows."
