What don't you like about working at ADC Telecommunications?

"Don't expect help from upper management, If you ask for some they will tell you how bad they have it, and it is a complete waste of your time (this goes across the board, not just one particular manager) Never got to use the 4 weeks of vacation they give each year, and they would not provide any additional compensation, even through I was swamped due to under-staffing on their part. Worked 90 plus hours for three years straight, killing myself, had great margins, growth and the best quality rating in the company, still no opportunity for a promotion. Got to the point where I was suffering from exhaustion. After working from 10 PM to noon the next day I had to go to the hospital because I was blacking out whi;le driving home. Doctor told me to take that night off (I was in the hospital from 1PM until 6PM, while they ran test after test, and the only thing they could figure was I was suffering from exhaustion) I called my boss to let him know I would not be able to cover that nights shift, and he said I quote Okay, your sick, or whatever like I was faking it. He had no concern for my well being at all. I was a warrior (still am for a new company) but they keep piling on the workload because I never failed. Only if you fail they will get you help."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop working your installation Supervisors to death. The more you do for the company, the more they expect of you. Had a great year, beat my quotas by 50% and what do they do, bump up my number 33% over the bumper year I just had, where everyone else gets a 33% bump on the number the missed."
