What do you like about working at Mercer?
"I liked the work itself. I loved the problem solving and technical aspects of the job. I enjoyed working with such a large team of people from whom to learn the ropes. Mercer was a relatively flexible company in terms of hours and corporate culture."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be outgoing and friendly."
What don't you like about working at Mercer?
"The salary was meager compared to other consulting firms in the Seattle area doing the same work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Offer better compensation and benefits packages, even if it is at the cost of the expensed happy hours and other office festivities. Those are fun in the beginning for new hires, but for people who need to start building their futures, proper compensation is more important."

"Due to understaffing and heavy workloads (of non-actuarial work), I am unable to grow and move forward."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would suggest more managing, and follow through with goals set for employees. Teach and mentor new employees, especially those new to the career world."
