"At the time I worked there (Prior to the acquisition by Activant), there were many talented folks to interact with and learn from. Since the acquisition, the company has declined in both talent and management, save a few individuals who are still there."

"Go in with an understanding that as times change, needs change, and you must stay adaptive and stay abreast of current trends to be competitive."

What don't you like about working at Activant Solutions?

"Due to the economic state, there have been many reorganizations recently as well as a HQ move to the west coast and there seems to be much less individual growth opportunities."

"Utilize the employees individual strengths to help make the product/offering better and think outside the box on saving money to be able to retain the talent that has made them successful."

"It was a great place to move from a manufactures rep to selling software. Great well educated people with strong desire to meet goals. Lots of challenge and variety."

"Sometimes change happened faster than even management could keep up with which lead to poor leadership and direction."
