What do you like about working at Southcoast Cabinet?
"I enjoy working here because of the employees. I firmly believe that the work atmosphere and people that you work with are of utmost importance. You are there over 8 hours daily, and to get along with your co-workers is everything. I like the fast-paced business-casual atmosphere, professional job presence & attitude. I feel that my department has improved immensely over the last 3 years and has successfully undergone incredible changes, making Southcoast Cabinet thrive & work well with other departments."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Honesty is the best policy. Show your true self & make sure that if your getting into the Accounting aspect of things, that you really have a thorough background of the accounting knowledge because unfortunately, you are on your own; meaning that you don't really get any help from others in the accounting department so please know your position before applying for it!"
What don't you like about working at Southcoast Cabinet?
"I feel I can't progress any further than what I have accomplished at the present time; there is no more room for growth (money & benefits), and we have undergone some tough times November 2008 through current. I am very sad that I have lost benefits & lost compensation due to staying in business & making cuts. I feel that sometimes micro-management has hurt this company by unsuccessfully directing employees with the best interest and not having that impact, instead hurting the company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I think that management could get themselves out of micro-management by distributing duties & work load by Communicating inter-department and resolving ways to utilize the people in the department for time-management reasons. If we could all be on the same page for the Ultimate Company Goal we would all work better."

"I enjoyed my position and the people I worked with,made it easy to go to work every day"

"Don't like NOT working since company moved"

"Be a good leader, look out for your team, be part of the team"

What do you like about working at Saint John's Health Center?
"Saint Johns was a real accomplishment beccause they didn't have any structure or permanent staffing prior to my arrival. It was because of this they where constantly finding themselves in credit hold situations! When I arrived I was able to bring in permanent staff, train them, and establish policies and procedures consistent with other AP departments in the idustries. The result was being able to take advantage of discount opporunities and realizing $80K in discounts which were saved and taken to the bottom line for year 2002."

"If there is an opportunity take it! They are good people to work with."
What don't you like about working at Saint John's Health Center?
"I was sadden when they moved their entire accounting function to their Kansas head quarters and laid off everyone in S.M."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Bring back the AP!"

"Being able to manage 13 direct reports!! I enjoyed working with a large team."

"Be careful - keep your eyes open and follow your gut instinct!"

"There is a different attitude there when it comes to it's people. They tend to go into groups. and if you are not apart of a group, you are labled. Something seems wrong with that."

"Some classes and training in sensativity would probably be good!"

"The ability to hire/train my staff and handle all aspects of AP. To be given the freedom to run the department and our project that allowed AP to clear $5M of errouneous AP invoices from the aging."

"I would get some sort of feeling about their cash position before accepting anything here."
What don't you like about working at Genius Products?
"Because they were/are cash strap they were forced to lay off 95% of there staff."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Merge with a strong finance partner and I'd love to come back!"

"The location was nice. My team was skeptical yet, open to trying to work thru the tuff issues which existed."

"my tip would be to keep looking and pass on this one."
What don't you like about working at Caliber Collision Centers?
"Caliber was a bad place for those who have families. Mainly because you were asked to work horrific hours and were contantly under pressure!! Most of the accounting team work 15hr days and were not compenstated for it!"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Bring in enough head count to address the companys need for a fully function accounting department."
