"It was a small company and I was the only IT Manager they ever had. I had a lot of opportunity to create the type of department I knew they needed."

"Considering the company probably isn't around anymore, no."

"Unfortunately, the upper management team was not able to keep the company going and they had a series of layoffs, including some key employees."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Hire excellent people, pay them what they are worth and let them do what they were hired for. Some of their mistakes were understandable since everyone on the executive team were new to being C-Level executives. None of them had prior experience running a company."
