"Sour Grapes At Sauer-Danfoss"
What do you like about working at Danfoss?
"The people at Sauer-Danfoss would good to work with in general. There is a high degree of flexibility in getting your work done. The team work there is appreciable, but not outstanding. There is often conflict between business units that has to be resolved in order to get work done. This is especially true between the US and European facilities."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"AThis company would is not somewhere I would count on establishing a career and a retirement plan at."
What don't you like about working at Danfoss?
"As a recent member of the massive layoffs at Sauer-Danfoss, I did not appreciate the process by which I was notified that I was being let go. Sauer-Danfoss had always touted itself as being a company that valued their employees as an important resource, and even delcares that idea in the Compass Values. This certainly was not demonstrated during the layoff process."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"When the layoffs commenced, there was a definite indicator that more Indians than chiefs were being let go. Management got off on the wrong foot by getting too big for their britches when the company went IPO (i.e., purchasing an electric drives company when it was clearly not our core competency). Mid level management people were being shuffled around to sayve them, while the rank and file, tenured and dedicated non-management employee got the axe."

What do you like about working at Greenough Communications?
"Great crowd of young professionals to work with. Account managers are very dedicated to high quality work and results, and companies that Greenough represents are generally good to work with. Senior management is also accessible if you are proactive about it. Also encouraged interoffice socialization through Friday happy hours and early release on summer Fridays."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It is a good place to get a lot of experience quickly if you can be self directed, and don't mind feeling like you are sometimes pushing ahead without knowing exactly what is needed and could have to redo/undo whatever you did. Very fun crowd to work with, though."
What don't you like about working at Greenough Communications?
"Little room for growth unless someone is hired in at a lower level than you on all or most of the accounts you work on. Can be a bit trial by fire at times with little direction before taking action, and more criticism after the fact. High turnover among younger employees."

"Spend a little more time with the new employees on best practices for working with the media, familiarizing them with accounts."

"The job as a whole, the exposure to senior level executives and the responsibility that comes along with being 1 of 5 sales professional who needed to drive results for the entire organization."
