"Being a small company they do not offer a competitive salary, but they do offer some benefits on par with large companies, like full tuition reimbursement and a gym, swimming pool, and a tennis/basketball court."
What do you like about working at Accelrys?
"The amenities, tuition reimbursement, foosball table, ping pong table, free beer Fridays, free fruit and beverages. Also, at one time as a junior at the company I had my own office with a giant window overlooking a valley where hot air balloons launched."
What don't you like about working at Accelrys?
"Little job mobility - once you were on a team it is difficult to move into other areas/teams. Also, the lack of mentoring. The brilliant senior people are mostly gone, leaving only the people who would not be employed elsewhere."

"Be prepared to work on multiple projects simultaneously and also be ready to travel globally with short notice (acquisitions etc.)"
What don't you like about working at Accelrys?
"The international travel is just becoming too much for me and my family"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"None, they're all great and really the only reason I want to find something new is because of the travel."
