2.8Academy of Art is a highly corporate art school. They cut corners, underpay employees, and their primary goal is a real estate front, they are buying up all the cheap buildings in SF. They own more land than the city. It's a monopoly. It's a shady place to work, with great benefits. The corporate culture is non-existent. They are by the books in the office, and legally they just barely ride the line of SF and state law.
I don't advise working there at all. I'm on my way out.

5The Academy of Art University is a great place to work. It's headquartered in San Francisco among prime real estate and the hours are very flexible. They also have an online division that allows a working art instructor stay in their industry full time while teaching. The only set back is that it's an open enrollment institution, so be prepared to teach students who really don't have the skills to be professional artists.
