"I have worked for The Academy of Art University for a semester. I am an alumnus which is why I wanted to work there in the first place. It was a great nostalgic experience for me."

"I've worked for AAU as an Architecture Shop Technician since 2017. My manager and colleagues are very nice. I don't know about other departments but I like working in the shop."

"I worked at the Academy of Art University for almost two years now and I have seen a lot of people come and go. There certainly is a revolving door mentality here and from those I have spoke to, who have been here longer than I have, this isn't the place where people stay for a long time. It does vary based on the department you work in and I did luck out with a being a great team that loves to motivate each other and help with whatever is necessary."

"Academy of Art is a highly corporate art school. They cut corners, underpay employees, and their primary goal is a real estate front, they are buying up all the cheap buildings in SF. They own more land than the city. It's a monopoly. It's a shady place to work, with great benefits. The corporate culture is non-existent. They are by the books in the office, and legally they just barely ride the line of SF and state law. I don't advise working there at all. I'm on my way out."
