"The people I worked with were very outgoing and sociable. They also took work very seriously and did not let each other down when things got difficult."

"Don't hesitate to accept work for 3M Corporation if given the opportunity. I believe it is still a great company with ever expanding goals."

"They shut our plant down due to the economy, so that comes to mind first on the bad side of things with 3M Corporation."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Consider the employees that are affected and the need for their skills before rushing to make decisions on closures. The skill set at some plants such as our own in Petaluma, California was so high we could have accomplished other areas for the company with our size and engineering and support knowledge."

"Many fun things to work on and people that were there (I left in 2002)."

"I was laid off as 3M exited the Scotchgard business, giving up $300MM in sales."

"It was one of my best employers. I have no regrets working for this company. It gave me an education that I could not possibly repay."
