"Auto and government are very similar. If you enjoy slow-moving companies where you need to work hard enough to not be fired, then you're good."

"Ford is where dreams to go die. It is a culture of fear. The departments are heavily silo'd and do not work together. There is a reason why cars take 5 years from inception to production. Ford is successful in spite of the processes used, not because of them."

"Stop fearing new technology and processes to manage the company."

"The constant meetings and indecisiveness. It took too long for things to get done."

"Have better training for new employees. A manual or documentation is better than a mentor."

"Working with Indian people. Their corruption knows no limits. Offshoring is so well encouraged and the company does a fantastic job of hiding the fact that it's no longer an American corporation."

"The best way to move up in the white collar end of the company is to be Indian."

"Very high employee turnover, as well as a complete lack of innovation from the IS and IT end of things. Product innovation is solicited from Europe and China."

"Follow what GM does by bringing the jobs back to America, where the customers are, instead of farming them out for pennies on the dollar to a country where their software architects don't even know what a warranty is."
