"I have been part of ZF since 2015 as an intern, grown into a full-time employee after graduation from my university. ZF is a multinational company headquartered in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The company has 7 divisions, operating in 40 countries with approximately 146,000 employees. As a part of the commercial vehicle technology(CVT) division's new system, software, and mechatronics department, the work culture is challenging, and fast-paced, with an Agile work environment, and a fair share of responsibilities, and product success-driven nature of the department. There is good interdepartmental support and knowledge sharing paradigm, for the overall company and project success and customer satisfaction. As an employee, depending on the role or affiliated department, responsibilities may be much higher than the agreed terms, with the benefit of greater exposure and experience to overall process and skillsets, and drawback of the greater degree of devoted time commitment. It depends on the extent of interest and willingness of the employee to support the tasks most of the time. Briefly summarizing the employee welfare, the benefits of working for ZF’s CVT division is the level of exposure, while the drawback is the bureaucratic restraint in growth within the division."
