"I worked for Zero Mass water for nearly three years. While the product being developed is a life changing development for many and has the potential to impact a great number of impoverished or polluted areas without access to clean drinking water, practice of the culture that is preached within the workplace needs some serious work. Funding is sporadic for projects, resulting in a very inconsistent workload. Outputs are often prioritized over proper project completion and tie out, so machinery is often implemented with minimal documentation. Benefits : Nominal Salary, could be better, could be worse. Minimal vacation time (2 weeks), which is lumped in with your sick time. Great health/dental/vision, very affordable through UHC. No 401k, No stock options, no real bonuses to speak of, (it's written into the contract but is up to the discretion of the board to pay out.) Ultimately this is a maturing company that needs to stop acting like a startup and start practicing its own tenets. A positive place to work, especially in regard to the quality of your working colleagues, however be ready for some serious shifts in pace and direction and to push a lot to get anything done."
