"I've have worked for Xyratex for 6 months. I started out as a test technician. During the first 3 months, I worked hard and learned as much as I can. After 3 months, I was promoted to Failure Analysis technicain and was moved to another department. So I like how the company regconized my hard work and dedication and reward me with promotion."

"NONE, THE COMPANY MOVED OUT CALIFORNIA TO MALAYSIA COUNTRY SINCE 2006 UP TO THE PRESENT TIME."

"NONE, MY LEVEL IS NOT TO JUDGE PEOPLE. MY LEVEL IS TO REPAIR AND TESTING THE PRODUCTS."

"It is a good place to work as your 2nd or 3rd management position. I will not recommend this for experienced managers with 7 or more years of experience."

What don't you like about working at Xyratex?

"For being a billion dollar company, it was manage with a mom and pop mentality. Manage with a non locator system and with multiple warehouse areas, and with parts that goes from labels, and screws, to hard drives and chassis with finished good products, made inventory control a very difficult task."

"Technology. Warehouse reconfiguration. Bar-code system."

"Great place to work with my direct managers, however that place no longer exists."

What do you like about working at Xyratex?

"We were paid to get a job done, my direct managers understood this and didn't watch when we came in or when we left. They knew if they needed something done it would get done. Because of this many of us worked weekends to meet deadlines. Me personally have put in 18 hour days, as well as working 18 days straight even through holidays. But thats because the managers took care of me. It was a privlage to work for those managers, which are no longer there, therefore I am not as well."

What don't you like about working at Xyratex?

"I don't like that they closed down the facility I worked at. It was fun while it lasted."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My direct management, nothing, they were great, above them, they need to goto management school, and plan ahead better. Not to mention listing to the managers that reported to them"
