What do you like about working at WSDOT?

"The department uses cutting edge technology as much as budget allows. They keep the public informed of their projects progress, big and small. The department responds to all public concerns in whatever manner is needed to address the concerns."

What don't you like about working at WSDOT?

"Some management will delegate a project or routine duties but will not allow the person producing the job output to make decisions on how the request is to be accomplished even though the end results ultimately are the same. This creates unnecessary stress in the work place and multI tasking next to impossible. Having a lot of personnel working in the field because of the nature of the job they are under the public view. When complaints come in from the public about a WSDOT employee, WSDOT should back their employee first and foremost and not the public's."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep paying attention to the future needs of moving people as seamlessly as can be done on time without going over on the budget."
