Cons: If you come from a background of structured larger companies, you're going to be majorly creeped out working here. HOA management seems to be a baby industry, so the hiring practices, operations, and engagement has all the anxiety of a start up, with none of the fun. (Minus your email, which will typically be firstname@company.com which is cool.) There's zero support from your company, and a huge duty to take on for the BOD-who are usually smart execs themselves. Proving yourself capable will be 100% on you. For admin staff: This is an industry thing, not a WR thing, but they follow the practice: It can be pretty frustrating trying to escalate an issue when each employee is a VP or a Director. Your structure needs to look like a Christmas tree, not a beach umbrella!"
