Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"The casino is basically out in the middle of nowhere... so be aware that you will be driving a good amount of miles every day that you work. The benefits are great, and the pay could be better, but all in all it's a great place to work if you pick the right department. If you pick the wrong department, you just have to wait 90 days before you can transfer to another department. Need to quit for some period of time Winstar has a good policy of re-hiring employees after 30 days of quitting on good terms."
What don't you like about working at WinStar Communications?
"Too many changes in too little time... many people leave after 90 days of working; turnover is extremely high."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Increase the pay for the jobs based on their importance. The most important jobs in the entire casino are paid the very least... And that's why the turnover is so high."
"WinStar had a flawed business plan during the Telecomm Boom. They had no back office systems to support sales. My team and I closed one large deal, only to have Winstar purchase the company and deny the sales person and myself all due credit and compensation."

"Variety of job duties. B2B sales, cold calling and agressive lead generation activity. Opportunity for great compensation with comission structure. I received a lot of technical trainining. I loved the job and was very disappointed they went out of business."

"I did not like the 50 mile commute, however compensation made it worth it."
